1. - 4. Professional Educator



Scope:

A Professional Educator is required to provide learning opportunities that draw upon and extend learners’ knowledge, skills, and interests. The position links instruction to meet the learner’s academic needs as determined by the results of valid, reliable assessment and reassessment. The Professional Educator selects materials and chooses teaching styles that address individual learning styles and extend the learner’s knowledge and competency using technology to aid learning. The Professional Educator also provides a respectful and supportive learning environment, conveys the expectation of success to attendees (students) and requires adult learners to engage in analysis, investigation, and interpretation as part of the learning process.



The Professional Educator participates in professional development opportunities provided and is encouraged to support program improvement. He/She administers assessment instruments to diagnose, evaluate, and place attendees (students) in the proper educational functional level and selects and assigns the learner materials. This position maintain standards and records on each learner, supervises quarterly monitoring report, and participates in professional associations related to other program development duties.



Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education HRD or other degree with relevant experience in Adult Education, or related field;

• Seven years relevant experience in the required area of professional expertise;

• Oral and writing skills should be well developed;
